Growth hormone improves growth, muscle tone and we had no side effects registered.

In some descriptions of case reports previously described that children with Lowe syndrome have an appropriate length and weight for gestational age at birth. Subsequently a slowdown is evident in the growth rate after 2-3 years, maintaining both weight and height below the 3rd percentile (that remains until final height).

It has made growth hormone treatment in more than half the children in the community of families that are participating in Rare Commons. Although there is a lack of international recommendations in our community is seen to have a positive effect on growth, bone mineral density and muscle tone. Families also say that small have improved cognitive level, and in no case has presented no side effects.
